Wanted to try something a little different and went with a more horror themed piece. With this one, I was trying to give a more disturbing and terrifying spin on roboization, I mean the process literally strips you of everything you once where and traps you in a metal coffin.SATAM never really dove into the psychological stress and emotional damage of robotization victims, I mean some of them have been in that state for years, more then enough time for one to go insane.
Was listening to the Dead space soundtrack when drawing this, and I have to say that the music really help me for some reason,... maybe I'm just weird^^;

thanks, I also for got to mention that if you'll note that none of them have any color, to better symbolize that they have been stripped of all individuality, plus the silvery white gives them the appearance of metallic skeletons
also this was the track that inspired me

not sure, when I came up with the design I had an Idea that involved robotnik developing a new type of robotizer the converted a mobian into a combat robot, and during a botched mission Sally is captured and becomes it's first test subject. Robotnik would then use her to destroy sonic, knowing full well that sonic would have difficulty fighting one of his friends. (which leads to a pretty one sided fight with sonic getting owned quite a bit) like I said it was an Idea I had a while a go, guess I'll have to revise it abit and come up with an ending.
Very impressive, and sad.
Does a good job of showing the extent of Roboticization's horrors. I think SatAM did a good job considering it was working with the limits of a kids show. It certainly went farther than the average Saturday Morning Cartoon.
It may not have shown you, but it got the message across that it was a horrible state to be in.

I have, he said when he lost his will he saw everything he did under Robotniks control but could not do anything about it.
Its a shame SatAM never could develop its concepts more, I understand why the psychological stuff was never focused on as it would have taken time to explain it.
I believe if there was a 3rd season there might have been some exploration of it.

Awesome job...and yes...I've often wondered about this myself. The closest I ever seen the issue touched on was in the Archie comics, when they we're doing the flashbacks about the Great War, and showed how Sonics father wound up the first victim of robotization due to Warlord Julians tampering w/ Uncle Chucks device, and how he came out basically stripped of his personality, for a time, and they went somewhat into how this affected Uncle Chuck, and Sonics mother, seeing her husband so transformed like that....was actually a pretty grim story
