My 40th birthday in 2009 was a really rough time for the Bird in Spandex. My mother had died two months earlier and I had to deal with all kinds of messy stuff with my Dad being in the hospital and nearly dying 6 times. And well, I was turning 40, that was rough enough.

Yippee Coyote made me a drawing as a present, fully colored here, showing my grilling weapons as I've been known to do some superheroic barbeque from time to time. Was really touched that he had done the drawing and that Tugrik had printed it on a nice big poster print for me. I gotta get it framed and put it up in the Hawk-Cave sometime!

Thanks to both Yippee and Tugrik for doing this for me, this pic got me through a lot of the dark days when I had to save my Dad from dying in the hospital and bury my Mom, and then lose my job in Silicon Valley to do what I had to do.
