So I haven't been to happy lately with my sketches. When doing digital, a sketch never really feels like a sketch, it just feels like an unfinished piece. So I started playing with the brush settings. My goal was to create a pencil/eraser combo that behaves and looks like real pencil on paper. What you see here is the result. This is 100% digital. The background is paper sourced from a free to use paper library.
I really like how this is working. It lets me get those 'perfect imperfections' that you get with traditional. Like the grit of the pencil, or the smear of the eraser. I'm gonna play around with some more brushes and see if I can make a few more that behave like traditional. Let me know what you think.
If anyone would like a copy of these brushes, send me an email at changewingart[at]gmail.com and I'll send them to you. I work in Clip Studio, so that is the format they would be in. These are modified versions of the default brush set, so I do not plan to sell them.
I'll be moving this to scraps eventually, but I want it to be in the gallery for a little whie.
