Anyway, it's 2:36 AM, so I'm gonna be pretty tired in class tomorrow, but at least I got this done. It's one of the few digital paintings I've done, and even one of the fewer that involve my character (actually, I think it's the first digital painting I've done with one of my characters).
This is based off of a reoccurring dream I've had. Basically, there's always a place that is absolutely beautiful and perfect to me for some reason... it's the quintessential place, where there's both euphoria and peace of mind. And either in the dream I always try to get to that place but there's something preventing me from going there. Either that or I stumble upon the place by seeming happenstance... and whenever I stumble upon it, it's always in some elevated area.
So... I dunno, I guess that was what I was trying to illustrate here.
Overall I like how this turned out. I'm not too overjoyed about how Reynard's hair came out... and rendering in that grass was a hateful process, but overall I think it turned out relatively well for doing the occasional digital painting (or at least I'd like to think so).
I have a couple more pieces of "personal art" I'd like to submit after this (include crazy-blacklight trip-out art involving Edgar and a zombie doppelganger). And then after that, I'm gonna poop out some more arts I owe people. Okay... I definitely need to go to bed now. XP

dude this is really good. i et the idea of him seeing something amazing when i first look at it so i think you did well getting the idea down in a visual format. great detail and good for you for showing yourself. since you say you don't often. nice job man! and beleive me i think we have all had dreams like that!
