The wind blows down from the valley,
The sun rises over the hill,
In the soft morning light, there is work to be done,
For the land - it will never lie still.
Each man to his task must be goin',
With the tools of his trade in his hand,
Of ploughin' n sowin' n reapin' we'll sing,
Now arise you sons o' the land.
- Scandinavian Poem
So a heap of stuff has been goin' on in the life of a folf - new work, new loves, new friends.
Veratis has always reflected myself (Y'know, just as a 7ft tall blue anthro folf) n after goin' through a bit of a spiritual rebirth I felt it was time to redesign how I feel about him as well as myself; both our images are bein' worked on currently.
But enough of that self-findin' stuff, I couldn't be more proud to introduce Veratis 2.0!
This is the first piece I have done that is this detailed - n what excites me is that I managed to plough through it despite all the hiccups n bumps that made me want to give up.
N I KNOW I'll only get better from here-on out.
Please let me know what you think - I'm thrilled as colours have never been my strong-point.
Thank you all to those that helped me n encouraged me; a part of you will remain in Vera n myself forever <3

That's one hard working folf right there! You're making us proud and doing your land honour and all of that :D
Now I can't help but notice the pagan / nordic / native american themes here (or apparently, I am capable of reading keywords), but he's also wearing a christian cross around his wrist. I am surely no expert on religion, but how come he does that? :)

Work hard
Play harder >=3
Firstly I'd like to commend you on your fantastically keen observations - truly have master eyes *Scritches* <3
N yes he is wearin' a cross - that, my dear, is 'cause I'm "Polytheist"; the worship/belief in one more more religions/deities.
A Hedonistic, Catholic Heathen =B

Aah, I understand, that's cool :) Hedonistic catholic heathen is definitely a title to behold. Definitely more interesting than "stalwart agnostic" I would say.
I am kind of interested now, how do those different aspects go together, and how does one come to accept multiple religions?

Certainly one way to be a special snowflake x3 But thank you ^_^
Well some people would be more than happy to argue that Catholicism stole from Paganism etc. (N they're not totally wrong)
It's a mixture of a more natural, primal belief in spirits - Tree of Life (Yggdrasil) - Ancestors n very strong ties to bein' raised a Catholic.
Ultimately, I don't understand why one religion has to be "The One" - the only archaic n backwards thing about religion/spirituality is the mindset that you can only believe in a singular faith.
I don't wanna kick up too big a spiel though <3

Well that's a really open-minded and thoughtful way to look at it. Certainly, religious texts should never be taken completely literal, so yeah, why not take the aspects that seem the most plausible and put them together? It's very unlinkely that a single group of people got it all right after all, right?
Certainly an interesting point of view to take, and one I much prefer to blind faith in XY because they claim they are right.
