DHD - In Tribulation, Sequestered at the Fore
So, i edited a chunk out of the middle of the song, and shaved off the longer fadeout, moving the filesize from 4.7mb to 4mb... and now i can upload it!
I suppose i should edit it this way in the source file too, i think it's more effective.
Anyway, something i made this morning... tried for something a little different. I think this is sort of like, ambient drone. I don't know exactly. I really like the arrangement of delayed voices. Those are cut-ups from a song called "Vaggvisa För Min Son Carl" ...in case it has any relevance.
You know, it's been a LONG TIME since i made something new for Dead Horse Dreaming... i've twiddled knobs and messed around with the songs i have, but the only new music i've been making is for the Okapi.
This feels nice...
Got to get it out.
Just in case it wasn't apparent (i suppose it wouldn't really be apparent unless you listened to some of the DHD stuff with lyrcis) Dead Horse Dreaming is music inspired by slaughter, and how awful it makes me feel, spiritually. It's not really 'nice' stuff. But it is necessary for me to live. Though the album in fact has a lot of optimism in it - sort of a concentration camp breed of optimism, where things look better on the other side of the threshold - where in death everything will be okay again, and the injustices of the world will float away like dandelion seeds in the breeze. We'll trot amidst the stars...
Though this song doesn't have words, i wrote this short verse while i was creating and listening to it in progress:
waiting in tribulation, sequestered at the fore
waiting for the arms to welcome, to be one no more
isolation hides among kin, and we fall into night
one at a time, silently parting, opened
a tributary ruptures into the pale river
