Sounds a tad like the game Destroy All Humans! The aliens had to go back to Earth to collect human D.N.A because an old member of their race met some guys on a ship and one thing led to another... etc etc.

But yeah, as long as they don't just stab this goop into their arms and yell the word "Science!" We should be good.
