Time really does change a person physically. Sergeant Wolf went through a lot of changes in that timeframe. To him, he hasn't changed a bit, but in reality, he's become bigger, stronger, taller, and smarter (Though that last trait is not really a physical trait.)

Just a few days before his 15th birthday, this poor guy never would have known that he'd grow up to be a 260 pound, overweight werewolf when, at the time of his 15th birthday, he was a skinny, average teenage boy.
