This is #1 of the Seven Deadly Sins Set of Sentient Hellhound characters. He represents pride.
Sentient Hellhounds
My original species (currently a closed species)! I am working on an info page for them, but in the meantime here's some basic lore: they are canine-like creatures who primarily dwell within the underworld. Their body type is reminiscent of a large, wolfish sighthound, with a build that is very sleek, tall, and lanky. They have an extremely long lifespan, possessing the ability to naturally live around a thousand years (unfortunately, most are killed off centuries before their time for one reason or another). Sentient Hellhounds are intelligent, can use language and tools, and have a sort of governmental monarchy system in effect. Within that system, each individual belongs to a specific class and rank (e.g. slaves, commoners, aristocracy, militia, etc.). There are also three "niches," or subspecies, of Sentient Hellhounds- Demonic, Vanquished Angelic, and Lesser Feral Hellhounds. Demonic Sentient Helhounds are by far the most common subspecies. Being of demonic origin, there is a great deal of corruption and unscrupulousness among hellhound society; however, every individual is unique, and so their personalities can vary quite a bit.
Seven Deadly Sins Representatives
These characters are all siblings from the same litter, and are essentially the 7 deadly sins brought to life as hellhounds. As the names suggest, their personalities embody the sins they represent. Not much is known about their past, and the seven siblings are very old even by their species' standards (about 265 earth years).
Narcissus (Pride)
Obviously, Narcissus's biggest flaw is excessive pride. He experiences illusions of grandiosity and a profound lack of empathy. Obsessed with his appearance and reputation, he does whatever it takes to protect himself regardless of who gets hurt in the process. He believes his wing-shaped markings were a gift from God meaning that one day he will be allowed back into the Kingdom of Heaven. In contrast with his wing markings are the Enochian characters (an Angelic language) on his tail that translate to "Pride Cast Down." In short, Narcissus is a stuck-up asshole, and the only reason people put up with him is his nobility, which naturally is only due to his familial background. He is a Marquis, a member of the aristocracy.
