Recently, Nada Surf released their 8th full length album "You Know Who You Are". which I purchased last week. It then struck me, although I have the CD, have they ever released their debut "High/Low" on vinyl? After a search I found out they had, but it was a fan club only, very limited release on what seems to be 150g yellow-orange vinyl. I decided to check eBay and Discogs, both had copies. I bid on one on eBay and won it for $30 including shipping. On average it was going for about $45 - $50.
What's unique about the pressing compared to the CD release is, it has an 8 page 10" X 10" booklet with photos, liner notes and lyrics. It also has a 12" X 12" card stock band photo. All packed in a heavy weight gate fold jacket.
The sound quality is beautiful. So much more alive than the CD release.
I now have all eight of their albums on vinyl. I'm a very happy red panda!
