Ah Bess, full of adorability and naiveté. And Zhorin, still putting your foot in your mouth. Gonna have to do some back peddling to get of this one. Or Bess is gonna go on believing that word is indeed a compliment and go about calling others scav. Then she'll be in for a bit of a shock to learn the truth that is a hurtful thing.

He's such a dork. He should just tell her the truth, better out now while she's still mostly naive and more likely to forgive than later when harsh feelings are inevitable. She asked what a Scav is, I assume its short for "scavenger". :P Oh well, we shall see what story you have planned one step at a time.

Well he almost told the truth. I'm pretty sure that's what scav means as well, but I think "Scav" is just becoming an insult for yinglets. <^\/^>

Pretty much, it is being used as a derogatory term despite its original meaning being simply descriptive. It is true that they scavenge...but yeah, the use changes the overall impact of the name.
