Power is relative, and relativity is complicated.
No, I'm not dead. Just... Lazy. Not quite lazy enough to skip out on two Thursday Prompts in a row, yet, though.
A quick summary of the characters present:
Okamitsune, affectionately known as 'Sunny' to her friends and worshipers, is the daughter of Fenris and Inari Æsir, the respective God and Goddess of Death and Life for their realms. As such, she has, in her own words, 'inherited dominion over basically everything, ever.' Although her parents love her very much, the wild little wolfox deity has a tendency to abuse her powers for the sake of having a good time, and she's much better at breaking things than fixing them. She has particular trouble with suns and stars, despite her nickname.
Fenris is the giant wolf (formerly) of the Norse Pantheon. Y'know, that guy who was betrayed, tied up, and gagged with a sword for a few centuries by his own relatives as a result of the machinations of his insane, power-hungry father. Fortunately, he hasn't let it get to him, and he went on to marry a beautiful Japanese kitsune Goddess named Inari. They settled down to form their own Pantheon and raise their daughter in peace and quiet among the mortals of their self-made domains.
Inari is a real do-it-all mom, with expertise in life, creation, fertility- even rice. She can be quite stubborn when she feels it's justified, but all in all Inari is a very gentle, caring woman. Her kitsune nature means she tends to prefer getting things done in ways that leave everyone except her confused up until the very end, but she's playful and friendly about it.

Funny. I laughed on many places while reading this, the idea of viewing these gods having nearly normal life and problems is really great. Nice situations, and good humor drawn from those situations. And, of course, the message is good. Musing about powers, and lack of them. Very good little piece, I enjoyed reading this. Good work.
I would be very careful accepting help from this family. Fenris, although a decent gardener, is still a God of Death; Inari, while easily capable of growing gardens, loves playing tricks and would likely introduce some more 'exciting' plants without prior notice; and Okamitsune... Well, let's just say she likes to go a little 'overboard' on things.
Little note: God with a capital letter - God - is a proper noun, and refers to the specific 'God' being referred to in context of a monotheism or similar. God with a lower case letter - god - is a regular noun.
Otherwise: Amusing, thoughtful, nicely put together. Might like double-spacing your paragraphs when posting .txt stuff on FA - helps readability!

An old story I know, but I've been jumping around your gallery reading things I haven't already. That's really nice! I do like how the most powerful being in the universe(s) can take pride in working on weaknesses, and being okay with it. There's something quite poetic about that.
The only problem I have with this is truly exquisite piece is: if the sofa cannot support two goddesses of Creation, how can it support a goddess of Everything (and more) AND a god of Destruction?
Otherwise, Utterly amazing! I hope you will do more writings about the AEsir Family in the future!

Well, turns out the God of Destruction's hips and rear are a teeeeeeensy bit slimmer. Now, if you left him on the couch long enough, I'm sure the odds of it accidentally breaking go up astronomically, but in short bursts he can normally avoid breaking stuff!
And, thank you! This is definitely one of my favorites from my own works. They're a fun group!
