The only problem I see is that the dragon is doing all the work in this arrangement. Let the rider do some flying while the dragon relaxes.

Your human/dragon interactions are always so awesome. Normally I am not a fan of it in most cases, but there's just something about your style of doing it that makes it great.
The first-person perspective is really interesting this time... Makes me wonder how all those rough scales on the dragon's neck would feel to pat.

I grew up playing the NES and SNES Final Fantasy games, and other JRPGs, so this feels super nostalgic to me. ;) You captured a great sense of epicness and vast open spaces. Really cool.
