Clever of Kion to use a flower instead of a wedding ring, eh?

Yes, even seven months after I first made it known, I still ship Kion and Fuli dearly. Now that The Lion Guard is well into its run and we've gotten closer looks at their characters, I think they're quite compatible with one another, so I ship them more confidently now. Which is why I created this drawing for them. In it, Kion is finally asking Fuli to marry him, proposing with the largest, most beautiful looking flower he could find. (He's a lion, so a wedding ring is obviously out of the question.) Fuli was waiting for the day when he would finally make such a move, and now it seems her patience has finally paid off.

This one in particular was difficult to make for two reasons. First, the background was largely experimental. I got tired of just doing the same angle with backgrounds over and over again, so I wanted to try something new and add more detail to it. I'd say that worked out pretty well. But in addition, this was drawn under a very tight time limit. You see, up to this point, ever drawing I've ever done since 'You'll Always Be My Queen' was done in Photoshop, which I only had access to on my school laptop. Today was the day we had to return them, so I was working until the last possible minute to get this finished. The laptop is currently gone for the summer, so until I get it back, I won't be able to do anything in Photoshop in that time. It really sucks for me, but I'll manage one way or another. I suppose until August, this is my last drawing before summer starts. Hope it ends up being a good one to leave off on.
