Well, apparently, the guards are supposed to be standing around the Viscount's office on guard. I would guess Woods was one of the guards supposed to be on antechamber duty, but was instead making fun of Bill at the front desk. And, coupled with the fact that no one was there to stop Lilith from walking in on you-know-what, as the supervisor said, someone had to be fired.

However, maybe this is where Muliebral makes her exit. We already know Woods was still employed by the end of Volume 2. Since Muliebral is volunteering, maybe the super will oblige her and spare Woods.
