Not that I don't appreciate the sentiment, but if "getting over" depression were as simple as just deciding to cheer up and not be depressed anymore, then depression wouldn't be the most common mental disease in the world.

I definitely thought it was nice of you. certainly helped me. mostly because I could laugh at the silly "cheer the fuck up" line. also, cute peppy cheerleader is something to brighten my day.
