Found this radio at an estate sale I went to this morning. It's a roughly 1932, Crosley Adventurer console. No, your eyes aren't fooling you, this radio has two tuners in it! The main radio is a model 127, 10 tube unit and the second tuner is actually a model 7-2 shortwave adapter sharing the same cabinet. Seems this was a popular 'half-step' in the evolution of radios with some companies. As you can see, this radio does have some issues, including a shaft on the adapter broke off flush with the cabinet and some fool in the past must have shoved their hand into the the front, destroying the speaker cone and dial cloth! Still, this seems to be a rare beast.

Oh yes, I kinda forgot about that! I'm just hoping that this Crosley can be revived. Gonna check up at Dean's place because he did have a Crosley with from the same year with a 10 tube chassis and I think the same speaker as this one that the cabinet fell apart on. Maybe I can get the guts for parts of they are still there...
