When considering taking a job with lots of travel, be sure your employer covers transportation expenses.
This is the second time in a row I've gotten almost the entire Thursday Prompt for the week finished within 24 hours or so. Even though the prompt before that was the first prompt I was unable to finish. Weird.
That toad in this week's Thursday Prompt seems to be pretty stubborn-looking. Like he's saying, 'I don't care that you're big enough to punt me across the road. If you want past, you've gotta get through me, and I ain't movin'."
This immediately called to mind Vertigo City, with it's combination of odd bureaucracy and excessive bigness. Throw in a brand new macro picture with a large, frisky canine girl near a suspension bridge, and mix thoroughly in a V.D.O. to create an utterly absurd bit of silliness.

Pretty good for a 24-hr prompt. Evidently this is one of those cases where the macro is a law-abiding citizen, always pleasant to read because otherwise the solution to dealing with annoying people when you're Godzilla size is pretty simple.
On a side note, 346 feet of wet dog fur can't be a pleasant smell.

Hahaha.... That has to be the funniest macro story I've ever read...
...
I can't stop.
ahhh.... okay... okay....
Nope, still laughing...
*phew* all right, I'm done. Very nicely done. Extremely amusing, witty, and all that. And now I'm actually curious about more happenings of Vertigo City... so this is good.

Again these macros. You certainly caught me with surprise. I laughed a lot when reading this. The scene is so absurd and funny. That toad had a really rock hard attitude. Is he really brave, a knight to bring some order into bureaucracy, or is he just someone really stupid? Anyway, great little piece, very entertaining, I laughed a lot. Good work.
I love Erica she is so fun to read about. I hope to read more stories about her i read the other ones with her, Monday and just a little cold and now this one. Part of me wanted her to walk across that brige to see if it does hold her. But then if it doesn't hold her that wont look to good on her wiith her job. And i don't want that to happen to her.
