The final part, hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did writing it!
Part 1 here if you want to start from the beginning: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2006430
This is a live performance recording of the piece I put on for my senior recital, it's for 15 instruments and narrator. The narrator tells a story about a journey for magic, which is very much influenced by video games. The whole thing is 40 minutes long, I'm posting it here in pieces. The balance sounded great in the hall but the recording makes the levels a bit funny, especially with the narrator since he moves around during the story, so I'm posting the text of each section. The musicians were great to work with, they learned a lot of music in a very short period of time, it gets a little shaky in some spots but you can hear they get right back together again, only very good musicians can play something this exposed/difficult under the conditions they did, they're awesome! :D I hope you enjoy it, and please any feedback is greatly appreciated!

The old witch, she once said that though the sorcerers' hold on power was great, it blinded them from some things.
How much she knew of them is uncertain, but clearly there was truth in her words.
A scent of mountain air cuts through the heat and disappears just as quickly. The visibility spell says there is an escape from this place, deep into the tunnels, many days of walking away. What's this it also senses... the other mage still lives, though not for much longer.
There he is, nearly faded to nothing. You could escape now before any more mages-in-testing arrive...
It seems pointless and the ramifications could be terrible, but something urges you to stay...
Having your light taken away, you know, would undoubtedly be lethal...
But nothing is ever said of what happens if you give it willingly...
It is done, there is no light left in you.
Is that the Elder from the mountains?
What is he doing here?
(Old man voice) "Young one, you have seen much. It is clear why the ice trusted you. Power can do great things, but at a cost. You have found that power unwanted, given away, does far more good than power kept."
"It is most noble to give it to those who would not give it to you. I will stay with this one, for he has life again now. For you I open a portal to far away, far from the corruption of any cities or ancient orders. You have no magic now, do with your life as you see fit."
Who this Elder is, you sense you may never know. But as for where you go
from here...
Well, it can be said, magic cannot feed the hungry, and being a farmer... You realize what a very peaceful and noble life it was.
To peace, something that can only be once power has departed.
Into the portal it is...
