For those of you wondering, it's MY story I'm talking about, "Corporal Punishment" and "Corporal Punishment: Yuri's Duty". It's not Canon to Shine at all, and it was written to help our Squigglynx feel better when she was feeling down. It's a work in progress, and still going on.

The first panel, when I see it, is like Manda is a two year old, or a three year old trying to be a grown up. I can hear her saying this in a little girl's voice, not her adult voice, which of course, leads to Star's comments in the next panel.
Then, by the last panel, Manda is in full blown Brat mode.
Of course, Teca's comment to Bella was just great. "Coffee?" Gotta love it!

Lure come to Star's rescue? Are you KIDDING me? He may be a baby, but Lure is SMART. He knows better than to mess with Manda. In fact, he's so smart, twice he told Star just to go with it, because Manda was going to win. He knows better.

Have you read the entire story yet? If you haven't, you really need to go back and start from the beginning. The 'bear' is Teca, and she's a main character in the story. The 'tailor' is Bella, and while not a main character, has been a ton of fun so far.

I would say that she was 'more normal' when she brought Star out in the previous change. She didn't have long hair back then, nor a flower in her hair.
I admit, she's not as over the top as she was in the first couple of changes, and both of these changes have been subdued over the first couple of changes, but apparently she's still not her 'normal' self, whatever that is, according to Star.

Peeps, when was the last time a diaper leaked all over everything when it got peed in? I mean, c'mon, think about this. Even if Manda did go 'weewee', it wouldn't have leaked out of the diaper. I mean, unless she's wearing a cloth diaper and no plastic pants, and she's not.
Furthermore, now that she has the dress on, and it fits, she's bought it, so she won't be taking it off.

I don't think she's being a bully, or even like it. She's playing with Star. Okay, first panel, she IS laying down the rules, and that's Manda. Lure knows that Manda is still in charge, and warns Star, but Star isn't listening, she's still in her little space and thinks Manda is kidding, kinda. Of course, as we know, Star challenges any authority figure whenever she can, so this isn't any different.
Manda just shows her how wrong she is, but she isn't bullying her, she's having fun exerting her position as a 'bigger kid.'

if it was me I'd enjoy her peeing and pottying on me so I would beat manda she would never beat I like disgusting things and I'm not ashamed she could try and try but she'd never beat me I'd never let her win like star did I'd say

Star isn't an officer, she's a Corporal, which is enlisted. Furthermore, if most of your body was encased in a locking sleeping bag that someone else put on you, and your hands were covered in mittens with no thumbs and no way to get them off, and you were already lying on your stomach, and the person you're in 'battle' with is already standing over you, what kind of a chance do you think you would have?

Well basiacly shes a non commissioned officer. So shes kind of an officer but not really... To put it short military hierachy is weird some time. Just lets settle on the fact that shes a trained military personell in a leading role (normaly corporal lead fire teams)

Basiacly she could defend herself in this position even if her hands and legs are disabled using her bodyweight, arms (witch arent disabled at the beginning of the "fight") or certain movements. There are certain techniques witch are part of special training for this situations (ok not this situation in particular) and basing on the fact that she is in a special division and that she also has a "Martial arts" background (Shine Page 19) its not completly impossible that she knows this techniques.
But I digress my real point is: Shes so cute when shes embaressed so let me do it some more ^^

British and U.S. military ranks are very different. I had to do a little research for Corporal Punishment. Furthermore, the special division she's in is Intelligence Gathering, and not really a Combat unit. Of course, her martial arts training may come into play, but in the time that Manda went from standing over her to being on top of her pretty much insures Star is going to be staying right where she is.
Besides, we all know that she's enjoying this thoroughly and wouldn't change anything. I certainly haven't heard 'Tadpole' yet!

In fairness you're spot on. if star REALLY wanted to be out of this situation she could probably find a way, not only being military but trained to the point of judo instructor level means shes pretty tuff when she wants to be, she hasnt used her safe word so even though shes protesting loudly shes actually having fun

Oh, in other words, you're trying to make yourself tired and sleepy, so when Daddy tells you something, you're going to be a cranky baby, and Daddy is going to have to either put you in your crib, put you in time out, or put you over his knee! In front of everyone, no doubt. I'll have to ask Becky to video that for me.
PC is a term that means 'Politically Correct.' It's a stupid term, actually. Basically, it means not to say anything that might offend someone else, kind of treading lightly so sensitive people don't get their feelings hurt.
Some of us pride ourselves on not being 'PC', because I'd rather speak the truth than not say something because someone's feelings might be bruised.
One very great example of that is at one University here in the United States, someone posted a sign that said 'Trump 2016.' Either that, or it was painted on the road. Something. Here are college students who claimed to be 'Offended' by this sign, which is nothing more than someone signalling their choice in our upcoming Presidential elections. Yet, the University made available to these students a 'Safe Room' with Counselors to help them deal with this 'racist' comment and to help them cope with the 'Offensive Manner' of this person who posted the slogan.
This is just one example of how stupid 'Political Correctness' is.

The best way to translate pc into other languages would be to say it is a social action that allows individuals to remain ignorant of the harshness of life. Some people are not emotionally mature enough to deal with stressful social situations and instead of working threw this we allow them to remain immature and reliant on others to fix there problems for them.
That is succinct and to the point! I love that explanation! However, I might change 'harshness' to 'realities' of life. Life is harsh even for those of us who are mature enough to deal with stressful situations, like the one I'm in now. Unemployed, facing loss of my home, my car, and a bunch of other stuff, and no way to really remedy it, other than to find that one job that's out there. I'm dealing with that harshness, at least for now.

I actualy chose harshness over realities because I wanted to expresse the damage that pc has on a person and or society. It doesn't matter who you are in life you will face harshness and strife in both minor and major. The true evil of pc is that it that denies individuals the opportunity to learn from these minor cases of harshness so that when they do face major strife (like your current situation) they are unable to work threw it and let it rule their lives. Sometimes the kindest thing to can do for a person is to be harsh. This is not a excuse to be mean or hurtful towards another but not to shield them from the world and let them grow and become stronger so they can handle major strife and succeed.
Are you enjoying yourself, Manda? Remember, Teca is STILL an adult here, and since you're in with the other babies, that means she's in charge of YOU, too! Be too bad, and you might be over her knee.
