I can tell what they are thinking here.
Dipper: Hi everybody, I hope you'l enjoy the show.
Stargazer: There's so many in the audience tonight. But Dipper seems happy and I'm sure Birch will be fine.
Birch: MUST PLAY MUSIC....FORGET ABOUT THE PAST.....PLAY THE MUSIC...THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!
Poor Birch.
The designs in this picture though are fabulous. I think I will see his gallery.

That brings up a very funny story:
My parents went out to a night club, where a jazz ensemble that they liked was performing. Little did the audience know but another famous jazz musician (whose name slips my mind) was in the audience.
The ensemble took a break, and left the stage. After a bit, the other famous jazz musician got on the stage, like he was cleaning up, but then sat down at the piano and began to play.
Here is how the telling of the story went from there:
My Father: So, this supposed stranger sits down, and starts playing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
My Mother: No, Fred, it was the ABC Song.
My Father: (after a pause) No, I'm pretty sure it was Twinkle, Twinkle...
My Mother: No, no...it was definitely the ABC Song.
Me: Mom....Dad....it's the same song.
