Once every four years, the world's biggest athletes (in terms of size and not necessarily skills) converge in a series of major sporting events. I commemorate this occasion with an all-new edition of my "Roly-Polympics" cartoon gags, associated (but not affiliated) with the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro...
Since today (August 5, 2016) marks 'opening day' (for both the fictional and RL games), I had drawn an apropos event for some of my corpulent characters to participate in. As a follow-up to my "Torch Bearer" gag from years ago - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/8355707/ - I have the last ample athlete (a fat tiger), pass the torch over to a very significant individual (a fat dragon) - who will have the singular honor of lighting the "Roly-Polympics" cauldron, to officially start the games.
(BTW, I had promised in past "R-P" gags that I would include more obscure animal characters. I hope that said dragon will be the first of many rare species to get involved in these games.)
Watch for more of my material over the next two weeks. My previous record was 17 different cartoons (back in 2012). Whether I'll be able to obtain a new 'personal best' or not this year remains to be seen...
P.S. If you are a 'newbie' to "Fur Affinity", and would like to acquaint yourself with my ample athlete cartoon gag series (both 'Summer Games' and 'Winter Games'), simply click on Roly-Polympics in 'Keywords', and check out all the material there...

I was originally going to have a bunch of ample animal athletes give the dragon's broad belly a 'group hug', forcing his upper torso to swell up, until he expelled a huge fiery flame in the direction of the cauldron. But it would've taken me too long to render all those extra characters (let alone 'touch up' the imagery with my Paint.net program). So, I'd kept it down to the 'torch bearer' tiger and the dragon. I'm glad you liked this four-panel presentation, at any rate!
