One- To show off the Crystal of Life in action. It acts on its own with no real known reasoning as to why it chooses certain beings. Still cant come up with a decent design for it to save my life...

Two- He will act as Draky's older brother like Luke is to Pengo. Characters with conflicting viewpoints on how predator and prey works.

I haven't established yet that the crystal is Planet FA's means of balance. in a world where time, places, and disasters make little sense the crystal act as the means of reincarnation given a physical form. souls go in but come out either the same way or as something completely different at any point in time.

Example: a macro squashes an entire village and everyone dies. they go in the crystal and come back the following day as if nothing ever happened, or they are reborn as a different species altogether at varying ages in a couple years or maybe several thousand years later
