I remember when I first played the original Legend of Zelda on NES. They never showed Ganon in the instruction manual or any of the strategy guides, and because the game was so difficult, I constantly had nightmares about him being a 50-foot-tall giant and he and Link would have an epic final boss fight on a cliffside.
Imagine my disappointment when, years later, I finally made it to the final dungeon, and I was confronted by... THIS. This fat, slovenly, blob of pixels that just barely resembles a pig was the final boss. Needless to say, it was one of the biggest letdowns I ever had playing a videogame.
Mercifully, things got better in later games.
