If Artie the Fat Rat were to leave the Blue Dragon world behind and return to his world, would he make friends there, too? I'm guessing he would. The world of Dragon Quest is filled with tubby monsters, including the mighty Tuskateer. Artie comes across a Tuskateer (Also known as Sealthrope and Walrus Man), befriends one, and ends up naming him "Tyrone Closer to Home," or just Tyrone 2 to make things easier. Artie has a soft spot for Tyrone 2, as shown here: giving the large, obese walrus a big hug. These two monster may never have appeared in a Dragon Quest game together, but they still look cute together. (Fat Rat was mostly only in DQ2 and DQ5, plus its remakes, while Tuskateer was used a little more often, including Dragon Quest Monster Joker 3... but never in DQ2 or DQ5.)

I don't think it's any real secret: I have a soft spot for Tuskateer. Yeah, he's big and fat and all, but he's also very strong looking. Plus, he's got a large tail, claws, hairy arms, whiskers, and... yeah, he even has large "Moobs." Still, I can't help but have a soft spot for how strong he looks, and I do think every bit of his design adds to his charm (even his "Moobs"). Still, I like some images more than most. I think his Dragon Quest Monster 1 and 2 PSX sprite is the best, but I haven't seen him in Dragon Quest Monster Joker 3 yet, though I do hope to get that game some day. ...Not a big fan of his DQM 2 GBC sprite, to be honest.
