HEY! I should be on that great list coz I lost my job too WAAAAAAAAAH nobody loves me to put me on the list.
That's a damn good drawing,
sonderjen's a bit of an influence, eh?
That's a damn good drawing,

While their choice of name and their approach is kinda.. it seems to me like a good way for people that want to get commissions of their character to do someone a favor that could really use it at the same time. Unfortunately, plenty of potential for suckers to get, uh, suckered, and quite a few people on there that I don't understand listing.
In regards to THIS FINE, FINE PICTURE, I love the way their faces are practically melting with grief. DEEP STUFF HERE.

My biggest concerns are: The community was started, and is rabidly supported, by people often in the center of zomg drama en mass, yet are rallying around the "Anti-Llama" flag. Also, that such massive amounts of money, names, addresses, and interests are being handled using FA as a hub. Which is free, and unsecure, and their community could be deleted at any time.
The idea isn't a horrible one, but hosting it on FA, and letting some no-name handle it, and enabling the destructive habits of some known leeches... yeah. That's not good.

I have to admit being only briefly acquainted with how they actually function, so if they essentially have a treasurer that's handling things, that does seem like a rather bad idea. I also got the impression that whoever created the club made a poor name choice as they don't quite grasp "drama llama" and all that. Again, I guess I'm not really familiar with their "Anti-Llama" stance. From reading the club description I took it as they're against the drama ensuing from having drama in your life (losing my home! medical bills! etc.!) rather than drama from people stirring up shit.
As for leeches, definitely potential there. I'd like to think the club has enough attention at least that people could raise flags regarding certain users, but who knows.

Well, that's the main guy versus anyone following the club. I think there are enough FA users that poke at it to go, "WAIT, WHY THE FUCK IS _____ ON HERE?" that even if the main dude supports a bad cause, people can make a more informed decision about where their money will go. At least, this is what I'd like to think.
That said.. *SNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERK* and such. Keep giving Allan money? Seriously? Worlds of difference between helping and enabling, and it's unfortunate if he doesn't get that.

I think people should give me money to reward me for my careful life choices and frugal spending. Think about, I could start a club and everyone would know their money was being used in a well thought out manner ;p
But seriously, the concept could be good but it's way open to abuse.

Hey, if you were donating money to charities and using it to educate others on topics they gave a shit about, people might just give you money for being responsible!
And of course it is, but I suppose I don't see it as being too much different from when people post a journal highlighting other users in need.. unless the money is being handled by one person from that club rather than going directly to the user, which in that case NOT GOOD. I thought they just directed people via a list of those needing assistance but from what I gleaned from comments above it's not entirely the case?

That's not a bad idea! (I was trying to be silly, btw, hope that didn't come across wrong.)
I -just- heard about the club so I'm not super knowledgeable on their practices but it sounded like the raffle at least is handled by one person. Directing to people is a good way to go, at least that gives folks the option of choosing where the money goes, which it seems they do as well.

what is is is, there's a daily series of lists of poeple so that you can go directly to them and commission/etc- or people who need emotional support and all that jazz-
and then, once a month, there's also a raffle, and the money from the raffle is divided amongst the people who seem to need it the most at the end of the month. *shrugs* at its barest, the ADLM is primarily a way to get the word around.

I actually think this is pretty funny.
In fact, I'm thinking of faving it.
My only concern would be that some members who are a bit overzealous might think of it as a direct shot at the movement and try and defend what we're about and just cause an uproar.
To be quite honest, I've been reading these comments and noting the ideas. I'm a big fan of
Pomander and
technicolor_pie's work, and would actually like their support in the movement.
Granted, it's looking like they might not given how the Movement is structured right now, but that's okay.
This is all still relatively new and I like getting feedback on both things being done right and things being done wrong.
I'm in the process of backing up all the information received on a website off of FA, and also looking at maybe a little re-branding of some things, especially as far as money's involved. Anti-Drama Llama seems to have some people torn on the Movement mostly due to the name.
I just named it that because I thought it was catchy and the idea of a sinister, Loki-esque Drama Llama seemed pretty durn funny.
But I'm open to ideas, and after bumping into this, I actually think it's hilarious! If I were to not accept valid criticisms and comments, I'd be no better than any troll or drama queen. I'd like to think I'm more mature than that, and want to work together in resolving issues.
I appreciate you drawing this, and snicker every time I see it.
I'd also like to get your feedback on the current Raffle too. We've raised over $400 now, and are close to the $600 goal. I know it seems crazy, but I think of it as a "Crazy enough, it just might work" situation.
Plus, you can win boat loads of art too!
So yeah, I'm done saying my piece now. I'm going to message Pie and Pomander to get their feedback since I know they are some of the best satirists FA has, and no one can lampoon drama of any kind like them.
Thanks for the drawing. :)

Hahaha, this is funny.
Personally good drama as in entertainment through stories and games can be good,
but bad drama as in arguments and fights between people is bad.
This made me think of that.
I must say the DLM exists to aid people and protect them from bad drama, and recently it even began to help impoversihed artists by letting people know of their plights and sending information about commissions as well as starting raffles.

Real drama, horrible, life altering drama, like being sucked into the antics of seemingly good friends whom continuously louse up their lives and yours with their bad decisions.. that's the bad kind of drama.
Genuine, surprise problems (job downsizing, death in the family, eviction through no fault of one's own..) are *not* drama in and of themselves, especially when those affected have the dignity and smarts to find alternatives to pan-handling.
DLM would not need a name like it has if it was dealiing with genuine problems.
It may mature into something more, and I won't stand in the way of it.

I can tell you are definatly a nice person with a sense of humor, but you might not have noticed that I was just giving a random opinion on the DLM and not directing anything at you. Sorry if maybe something seemed that way.
Say, you seem to have more decent art than just this btw, you must practice alot right? I wish I was that talented and motivated...

True, asking for help is a bit un-dignifying, but it can also be seen as a humble gesture when times are tough. Humility is a Virtue.
I especially encourage folks that are part of the movement to NOT pan handle if possible. If they can offer commissions as a way to work for the money, then that's something well worth doing.
One policy of mine at the movement is to never expose private turmoils to others. The ADLM primarily works by directing people to the journals they created on their accounts discussing their situations and dilemmas. If someone reveals personal information about their hardships and don't want to talk about it, then that person they shared that information with might try to help their friend out on their journal by pointing people to them, but the ADLM itself will never post journals that beg for its members to help someone else out. It would be a sign of playing favorites, and could possibly upset someone, especially if they didn't want their hardships known.
Of the journals we link to, some may be more begging than others, and quite a few admit that they hate having to write journals like those. Regardless of their feelings, one of my goals for the Movement is for it to help connect people together to help one another out. The best support I can think of are those offering commissions and people willing to donate some change for a little art. It gets funds to the artist, and gives a little something back to the donors.
So I wouldn't necessarily calls the folks mentioned on the ADLM losers. They're folks who have fallen on hard times and need some help.
But what's really good are the SUCCESS stories! Thanks to the March Raffle, at least one of the recipients.
Darkwolfe, has been able to catch up on their bills, get aid from friends, some kind FA donations, and a local church charity program, and cover their house payment. With these all caught up, he has worked out a budget where his current job and income will keep him supported should any other hardships come his way. He has overcome the hurdle and is ready to run the rest of the race without any help.
It's folks like him that the Movement was made for, and I am glad that no matter what happens, our work helped one person out immensely so they can get back on track with their life. And I am VERY happy about that.
Whoa... I just realized I talk to much. Oh well. I said my piece. :)

Im for the anti drama drama llama movement cuz if nothing gets done about the immature stupid bullshiters like you calling everyone out on their art or music, this entire site will soon collapse and implode into itself and there will be an eternal "we will be back soon" page where FA is soposed to be.
then again the expressions in this pic are entirely HILARIOUS and so helping the community cuz laughter is the best mother fuckin medicine. YOU ARE THE BEST FUCKING APOTHICARY I HAVE EVER SEEN YOU ROX!!!!!!!

And what about you all bastards? huh? Is your life spilling hapiness enough to discriminate those who had the misfortune* of living (for example) in a poor country, and/or with a violent family, and/or with the premature death of a loved one?
You are all a bunch of hypocrites, your life is void and meaningless.
* Indeed another reasons to the circumstance, but I won´t use further terminology because your closed mind and miserable brains would not understand it
