Sorry, guys it isn't art but had to share.
My boyfriend and I cosplay as Jen and Kira. And I finally got some cool cosplay photos done. :)
I'll put into scraps later

i liked the idea of the setting and the way it was done. you know, the labrynth itself.
i don't really remember much about the story. i'd have to watch it again some time when i get the chance.
i definately thought dark crystal was more interesting to me. that one i saw five times when it was in first run,
bought all the books about, making of, grand's art book, even the marvel reprint. only movie i ever did that was dark crystal.

Yet i always thought TDC was better than Labyrinth despite i do like Labyrinth but TDC has more maturity, complexity, edge and grit and a better music score plus feels more timeless.
I was born that year in 1982 and my big brother who was 7 saw this at the movies and loved it, i saw this on HBO at age 3 in 85 and loved it as my parents taped it for me from a rental tape and been one of my faves. I even have books on it even the making of to the graphic novel prequels and new novel prequel. I even have poster, 2-disc CD soundtrack and so on.
Wasn't 1982 a great year for movies? so many damned good movies came out that year! you had Blade Runner, ET, The Thing, Star Trek II, Tron, Creepshow, Pink Floyd The Wall, Gandhi, First Blood, the Dark Crystal, The Last Unicorn, The Secret of NIMH, The Flight of Dragons, Tootsie, Richard Pryor at the Sunset Strip, Fast Times etc.
I even had a crush on Kira, she was the most beautiful creature i've ever seen when i was a kid.
i didn't get to see all of them. in 82 i was 34 and joined the portland science fiction society. which i went with on movie crawls to see some of them.
yup, crush on kira too. blade runner, read the book, short story collection called do androids dream of electric sheep, ten years before the movie came out. another story in the same book was we can remember it for you wholesale, became the movie total recall. ghandi i watched, ET and trek two. didn't get to see secret of nimh or last unicorn until many years later. last unicorn i read the book back in the 60s i think it was. the wall i saw somewhere some other time too. flight of dragons i don't recall and not sure i've ever seen. the others didn't interest me that much, though i think i may have seen parts of tootsie and or mrs doubtfire. it was one of those years i actually went to movies, even though i was mostly poor at the time, ordinary people could still afford to go see them. i think the first star wars movie came out somewhere around that time too. the first couple of those were really good, before they started to get repititious. 80s were a great decade for real science fiction too. late 60s to mid 2000s. cherreh's chenur series would make great movies if they were done right. some of the others, ring world or sirens of titan. so many others i could name, which hollywood would probably botch so maybe its just as well they didn't. bought my second computer somewhere around then, a vic-20. my first that worked had been an osi c1p. no internet yet but there were local dial ups and compuserve. 300 baud modems. (arpa net existed, but it wasn't public)
