Now place the vase/jar on the table. Carefully light the incense and waft it around to spread the smoke and smell. You may find the first time using incense is quite overwhelming as it has a very strong aroma. If you are worried about the smell distracting you, try weaker aromas such as frankincense or vanilla as they will only lightly tinge the air.
