This is Jan. Well, at least what Jan looked like during the original development of my latest, professional effort, "Project Ezil."

Now, you may notice two dates being etched upon the work. One being 2006 and the other 2009. This is because I came across this work while going about some general house-keeping. Interestingly enough, this was one of the last sketches I did before going in for the surgery that, ultimately, took away my ability to read without the use of a variety of magnification / accessibility tools.
Seeing this drawing again, coupled with my recent fortune with the eye doctors, inspired me to color it in and see what happened. I'm no artist, but I figured it would be fun to share a piece of classic, conceptual art with all of you just to mix things up a bit.
Special thanks to
scootersquirrel
for his random, but meaningful, thought a few weeks back about me trying to do art again. Coloring this in reminded me that, despite my original thoughts, I can still draw and color. Inspiration comes from the most interesting of places and, who knows, maybe I'll try posting some art in the coming months along with my tales to keep a fresh flow of creative materials.

<LoL!> She's only down because I didn't have a better shade of brown for her fur. :) *shrugs*
As I work to get back into art again, my goal is to move from Markers to Colored Pencils. I LOVE colored pencils. The only problem is that they are harder for me to see in Digital form.
Though, as I noted, you don't know until you try and, personally, the more barriers I break down within my mind the further I will progress. I may not be able to do things like I used to, but that doesn't mean that I can't do them at all. I just need to push harder and harder each day. Yep, yep, yep!
Thanks, Kaffre! ;) *Hugs*

Jan is Bo's friend in the story, right? The pal she was in the tent with at the end?
Ehehe, she does look kinda sad-tired-bored, but still good. (:
The way you color reminds me of how mine was so messy with markers... I'd color in any direction, and then some girl said it was sloppy. ;O; Though, the way you did it was really organized and saves ink. :3 And you can see the texture of each mark, ehehehe. Neato! (:

<LoL!> *cush-cush* Poor Jan. I'm so happy I can write about her better than I can draw her. Otherwise, her and Bo's chats would be more about anti-depressants than good times with the scouts. <LoL!> *cush-cush*
As for the markers, I FOUND a bit of a helper for using them. Normally, my workings with them is EXTREMELY sloppy. However, my CC TV allowed me to "Zoom" on spots so I could more elequently glide the point. I just wish I had another shade of brown avaialable. Ah, well. Work with what you got! :)
