(Animation) Stomp Stomp Vrooomm!
I was playing a racing game when suddenly
redguardian teased me by walking behind me, stomping the ground, threatening to step on me. Apparently that was more than enough inspiration an motivation that I needed to animate this little thing X3
On another note, this did now serve as a nice benchmark for these kind of things to see how long stuff like that takes me, since I did this one without any major interruptions. So this animation is 32 frames at 24 fps, since they are doubled I basically drew 16 frames, which doesn't sound like a lot but still, this whole thing took me a little over 5 hours. So 5 hours for not even 1.5 seconds of animation. I'm sure some people are interested in facts like these X3

Yeah but it's not constructive and doesn't really tell you WHAT I'm amazed at.
I enjoy the feeling of motion, like it's actually a camera pulling back as fast as Red can walk, um... I like the fact that even though Sprite's face is only a few pixels, it still manages to convey panic and terror. I also like how fluid the whole thing is. Every motion has followthrough, mostly with the tail wagging back and forth.

To watch as the vast two toes of a mega/giga macro lowered upon millions of humans cowering within their city, their screams silenced in an instant, mixed and crushed into the earth with one allmighty *KRATHUMP*
Only for the other sole to rise and take a step forwards, casting the next batch of cities/victims in it's shadow and silencing their cries with another purposeful stride.... Whether male, female or herm like Red... It would be impressive~

I am interested in facts like those, mainly to get an idea of how long it'd take to create something like that =o
But dang, this is amazing like everyone's already stated! x3 The animation is fluid, and also who's not to love the sight of giant Mewtwo feet?
Better keep going cuz it looks like those red mewtwo feet want to get you >;3

Looks pretty cool.
My thoughts on an animation like this, I'd probably include paws trying to swipe at the tiny car as it was being chased.
It might be a bit complex though. Then again, I am thinking as though the macro were Illas chasing after a shiny so that could be why.
You did a super amazing job on this and
Redguardian chasing you looks crazy good.

I appreciate that you provided the details on how long it took you to make this, it's gives people a better sense how long it takes to make these animations.
It's streamline, the colors are vivid, and well executed. I particularly like how the car is bouncing from the big steps. Terrific work!
Did you sketch the frames out to get an idea of how you were going to arrange the pixels?
How did you know how it was going to look like?
Also, what version of Aesprite did you use? (I assume you used that program to make this right?)

Well I skteched the frames of the foot and tail for the whole walk cycle. The background and the car didn't need that, since there's not much movement. The car was just animated by moving it around once it was drawn, since it doesn't deform or change direction. I knew how it's going to look like after sketching the walk cycle, although the first thing I drew was the ground and street, to get the perspective right and yes, I did use Aesprite. The version is the most recent (not the beta), not sure why you'd ask about that.
All Horses don’t need fuel... But Cars do! So I Decided to Record Sprite About to get Crushed... Well It didn’t do well.. Horse Got stepped on with me doing a backflip In mid air... And I Landed in Sprite’s car... Recording the Goddess Who is gonna crush us if the fuel runs out...
