This was by far the most intense thing yet written and the action was superb. I laughed when Evay pulled out her quirky sayings, I shook my hands in anticipation of the action, I teared up when the tone called for it. An amazing piece Conner, I loved it. And excellent use of Evay who will probably now be careful who sh takes on as friends. I'm sure though in time she will forgive Chris when she knows more of what happened
God damn it...I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I hate Sandstalker so much.
As for The Star? I believe that he's strong enough to get through this and come out stronger than ever.
Amazing story...there were a few moments when I thought it wouldn't get better...glad they did. Sure they'll be some problems along the way but I believe that every thing will work out.

Now this was a damn awesome story from start to finish, which coincidentally and happily is how I read it.
I think you knocked it out of the fucking park with Sandstalker. Such a ruthlessly dedicated hunter always thinking three steps ahead. Man they definitely have not seen the last of her.
Got the chills there at the end with Star. Now that is going to be hard to recover from. I can tell you Slipstream wouldn't hold a grudge at all especially once knowing what was going on behind the scenes, Ember would be grumpy for a while but begrudgingly admit that he didn't have a choice, and Mach would be the same though his ego would have been sorely bruised being caught like that.

Not to sound heartless or anything, but the whole 'nobody dies' thing...I find that rather dumb.
Don't get me wrong, trying to not kill is a noble way of thinking, but when it comes down to it...its impossible to save everyone. Sometimes you gotta realize what's at stake...and make the necessary choice. Will you hold on to your ideal, but at the cost of so many, or will you you kill 1 to save the many?

Yeahp. Its still a noble ideal, but you gotta have a clear limit to how far you will hold that ideal.
Case in point, this story. Sure it ended okay, but it very NEARLY ended with disaster. Even if nobody had 'died', the fact is the BOS would have been taken out and well...who's gonna protect the citizens now?
