Fire Phoenix Fursuit - Modified (2016)
NOTE: I believe neonr0se built the original using Crystume's resin base, the full bird body suit and feet. All I did was enlarged the body, modified the body, added the glitter, glitter accessories and re made the tail!

Some photos will be added and the submission will be modified later! This is just a place holder for now. Barkley Beaver took most of these photos, so all credit goes to him for these photos as well as a % of the sales price!
Head: Crow/Raven resin base by Crystumes. Added the glitter feather detailing, which are sealed in a durable washing proof protection layer. Original head: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12446473/
Beak is very reactive to movement and does allow for realistic clicking sounds when closed and opened. Tongue is silicone. Interior of beak was painted black and gloss coated. Beak was painted over with gold glitter and sealed for durability and protection. Resin realistic eyes. Vision is through some black fabric between the eyes and the beak. Note that most realistic suits have lower vision than toony, will take time to get used to. Can see through mouth as well. Is well made and is the best realistic bird head I've personally found.
Head piece feathers are bendable with wire. All head details were carefully added and made to be removed if desired without damaging the head or can be glued in to be more permanent.
Size: roomy and fits my head with glasses!
Wings: Were modified, dyed and glittered with roughly three layers of glitter. Each layer is sealed with waterproof sealant made for fabric. The entire body with the wings were washed in a washing machine before verifying this. Feathers are now much more stiff and stay in their position at the ends. Hidden slits for hands were added as well. Tops are straightened by dowels inside the wings, which are removable and easy to purchase at the store for replacement if needed. Because of the addition to many layers of glitter and sealant and the dowels, they are heavy. I was able to hold then up in photo sessions as long as I had breaks in between for longer shoots/lots of photos.
Body: Was modified to fit my size, original was smaller with white detailing in the front as a magpie. Has the original metal zipper in the front. The original thread came loose from first wearing, so most of the body and zipper was resewn with upholstery thread for durability.
Tail: Modified (removed black tail piece, replaced with a custom tail). Tail was stiffened, glitter designs were added using wash proof glue. A long piece of wire runs through the underside, making it bouncy and swing very freely. Can be posed to bend however you like! Belt loops made to fit through the back of the suit, can be worn separately without body.
Legs: Fleece and stretchy. Modified, added glitter for extra detailing on a durable washing proof protection glue. Added more fabric to the leggings make them taller (to my knees) as well as black fur to cover more area between bottom of fursuit body legs and fleece cloth legs as they are separated for convenience/partial wearing.
Feet: Fleece. Modified to be incredibly comfortable and removable memory foam slippers of your size included. Can be worn with or without slippers, any size feet. Added waterproof glitter. The original outside of the bottoms are play mat material and have worn down with holes (cement walking), so I will add durable rubber to bottom of feet for extreme durability. Claws are original resin (DVC?) black painted and glossed claws. Claws will require optional touch ups with use especially from outdoor use with age. Only items needed for doing so is black acrylic paint, paint brush and paint sealer. Some seam repairs with age/use will be needed, especially because the feet went through a major interior rebuild and they need time to break in and settle. Original feet: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12446564/
History: no information regarding how often suit was worn other than a few convention photos and my personal use from the date I purchased the original. My personal use was mostly for testing and rebuilding. Had a total of four to five longer time frame meets attended and roughly three wears as a partial without wings/body. Each time all pieces were sanitized, brushed and placed in a zipper plastic storage bag for my closet. Was given a full body machine wash just before photos! Pet free, smoke free and extremely clean well taken care of home.
