A quick reminder that Daryil is a fear clan. And yes, I know it's unusual for gangsters to wear PVC jeans, but this is Daryil. As for what would happen to Keith if he didn't confess? Daryil's not a cruel clan, so they'd probably have just gone with Nigel's idea, a swift and humane execution.

Merlin is very good at doing that. Which can be unfortunate - e.g. Jirra Boomer in Heads You Lose, who looked quite handsome and nice until Erich beheaded him. (I still feel bad about that, though he does get a second chance at life in Merlin's 'Random Encounter' comic).
