got a little anxious to try out some new clay...so started working on a trade tonight...only a couple hours of it though..
the clay is a little tough to start working with...have to knead it a lot to get it soft enough to mold..but looks like it is going to be pretty strong, and it keeps details a little better than the Sculpey...
might bake a small bit of it, break it, and see how it holds up that way too..if it breaks easy or not, and if it chips or breaks clean...is very interesting stuff, not quite as oily as sculpey...paws don't get as sticky...plus it's white (although comes in other colors), meaning may not need primer coats when painting
and another plus...it is about $4 cheaper per package
anyway...think this figure is going to turn out good with this clay, especially with the small details
keep watch for journal tomorrow, good friday, if you are interested in a commission!
Edit: bad angle on the main picture..the legs really aren't that chunky..
