"Born of the Storm" tells of the Star Hunters, a dedicated group of people and ships who pursue space-going pirates in a multinational interstellar galaxy. When war breaks out, the Star Hunters are one of the first victims, leaving McClaw -- commanding the ship Thunder Child -- alone to preserve his small ship, his few crew, and his mission while trapped between one government that wants to kill them and another whose politics prevents them from helping. Even if he succeeds, what sort of galaxy will he be in, and what will it expect of him?

This story is set in Chaser McLoude's "The Terran Wars" universe. Any contradictions with that setting are solely the fault of this story's author. Comments are welcome.
