I won this piece during one of ConnerCoon's Free Sketch Friday raffles. The theme of the evening was characters from literature. And since I received a lot of exposure to H.P. Lovecraft through a good friend of mine, I figured why not get a little eldritch up in here? So, here's Sorbet playing the role of probably one of the most mainstream elder gods from the Lovecraft mythos: Cthulhu! Sure, he's not quite as menacing nor does he inspire the same mind-melting insanity that the real thing causes merely by catching a glimpse of him, but what're you gonna do?

Also of note, this is the first time I've had Sorbet depicted completely naked. Not sure how I feel about that, but chances are it won't be happening again anytime soon. Not to say I don't like how he looks in the nude, but I just feel like it's something I'd rather do sparingly. Unlikely that he'll be sporting a pair of wings and a face made of tentacles next time though.
