But shouldn't a bear have one of those recorders that are almost but not quite like those bassoon-size ones? Although one of those would work too. Recorders run the whole gamut from little bitty cute to king-size masters :)

I've never pinned down Von's size, but if he's big enough, that COULD be a custom Great Bass he's holding. :)
