If human lungs/vocal cords can be likened to a trumpet, Baxxids are something more like bagpipes. A deep breath in, then continuous buzzing that is then shaped into words. Also comparable to an electrolarynx, but instead of tinny electric vibrations, it's more like a warhorn from the depths of hell itself.

You know what this is actually useful because I always like to know what all the species sounded like. This is unique as well because I have never heard a species voice in any work of fiction be compared to throat singing. I know you have the flash thing about asking a yinglet. But do you think at some point you could compose a sound library of all the different species.
I'm not gonna lie, the sun-rising and the scream absolutely made me think it was this all over again;

Only this time it's a metallic, bone-scream noise that EVERYBODY in Ivenmoth can hear.

It's pretty easy, really! Just look for a reference pic or two for the stage of sunrise/set you're looking for, reproduce a similar gradient using soft brushes/spray tools, and then add a little horizontal displacement for some of the colors to give the impression of stratospheric layers.
here's the audio track that played in my head for this: https://youtu.be/VxTQKxyJyxw
Well it's pretty big!
And like the poster below mentioned; imagine having to brush something crawly off of you, but instead of useful, precise hands built for gripping and fine manipulation, you have giant knives duct-taped inside clenched fists.
Suddenly it's a million times worse

I understand why he was scared. He's got blades for hands. He was afraid of stabbing himself to death if he started swatting at the little bug that crawled on him.
So his only option was to scream at it in hopes of scaring it away! Well, it worked! Only problem was he didn't think far enough ahead with that plan, so he completely forgot about all the people that he was going to bother.

I originally found your page through your lusty argonian comic a little ocer half a year ago and decided to check out your main comic series. I have been wheezing in laughter for the better part of the last hour or so. This... this made me laugh so hard I rolled out of bed. Wonderful comic this far. The world building is much appreciated.
Okay, people. Keep it moving. No relevance to the plot to see here. That's it. Let the baxxid's go about their business.
But maybe these baxxid's are of some importance. With their ability to retain information, perhaps they have some valuable intel (concerning Kassen) to share.

Not sure if there's a reason no one's brought this up yet. At first I thought the rotation of the sky meant that glowy thing was over a pole, but I just looked at it again to try and compare starcharts and realized there are two sets of stars, one set that's rotating around the glow and another set that isn't. For it to be moving under its own orbital physics without hurricane-like turbulence, it would have to be enormous and turning very slowly, so the only way we could see the rotation happen like this would be through the relativistic effects of near-light speed...
