Where did 2016 gooooo?! There seems to be a consensus that this year was halfway awful with what's been happening in the world (I agree). At least I was productive. Damn it went by fast though...

So this is a lil review of what I was up to while I was mostly inactive.

April: "Mama" Green Sea Turtle, life-sized 18" long gourd sculpture

July: "Beating Heart", carved gourd ribcage & heart, 17" tall
Aug: "The Heron Phoenix" gourd sculpture, 17" tall
Sept: "Full Aquarium", 360degree painted gourd, 12" diameter
Oct: "Peeping Tom II", 12x12" acrylic
Nov: "The Mother Tree" gourd sculpted lamp, 19" tall, 14" wide
Dec: Sue the gourd sculpted Trex, 23" long

I spent half of the year making art for a solo show I had in September. 2017 will be different. I plan to focus on book illustration, writing and publishing my own novels, and making more gourd things.
