It's probably a cop-out but, in the end, if I had Arty in front of me, I'd tell Mr. Fat Old Gay Guy with Hip Replacement what Mr. Old Het Guy with No Intestine's perspective is.

You have to do what feels right. Maybe tap Vinci and see what he thinks, or other friends. Do a few days of soul-searching. Eventually, the right course will present itself.

How old are Vinci an Arty at this point? I thought they were in their mid-thirties but I Guess I was wrong.

I think Arty was hit by a vehicle at some point, which would lead to the hip replacement.

"Stupid Fortune Cookie" takes place approximately five years after the end of Vinci & Arty.

Arty's 32 here, which isn't actually old, but as far as breaking into the industry is concerned, he's considered an old-timer. :)
