Stargazer: I guess this one hits close to home for me, but while the Discover went to Jupiter in the movie of 2001, in the book it went to Saturn. The reason for the change was the special effects people did not think they could make a convincing Saturn.

Birch: Did you know that a movie was made using entirely Beatles songs that did not have The Beatles in it at all? Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the movie, starred The Bee Gees and Olivia Newton-John. It flopped something royal.

I remember the Bee-Gee's Sgt.Pepper's movie, but I don't remember ONJ being in it...

Did you know, the movie was nominated for both an Academy Award AND an Oscar? The Academy Award nomination was for Best Animation, but it lost out to Spirited Away. The Oscar nomination was for Best Animated Feature and was one of three Disney films to be nominated for that category that year.

Lilo is six years old in the film.

The movie is the first feature length animated movie to me set on Hawaii.

Did you mean an Annie rather than an Oscar? The Oscars ARE the Academy Awards.

I just researched and it was nominated for an Academy Award and won an Annie Award for Outstanding Voice Acting, Daveigh Chase, the voice of Lilo, took home that honor. :)

Maybe he meant The Golden Globes?
