Yes, as noted above, this is no less than the 700th episode of the Saga; in this particular case, thanks to the pen of 
Walt46, it is being carried on splendidly. (And we must not omit to thank 
tegerio, in whose world this is set.)
Certainly, Gawain isn't in a celebratory mood. The Crown Prince of Faerie doesn't hold back in semi-private as to his opinion of the Master of Elfhame, though interestingly enough, the King and the Marshal to a certain extent still support the roebuck. Though that doesn't stop them from laughing at him, when the Wolf Queen gets up to her antics...
The Marshal, of course, has later Confidential Words for his Blunt Instrument...

The question is a good one, and at the proper time will be addressed directly; I've actually contemplated (and dicussed with Walt46) what will happen when Gawain succeeds (as we know he does, from the Ballad of Adler Young).
