Told you this guy would be a porker. I actually think this boss would have the best chance at a truly happy ending. His species faced extinction, won the first round, and I could actually see a scenario where a law would pass that would classify the killing of his species as murder. Despite being mobile, this guy has as much HP as some stationary bosses. However, he is, as you'd expect, very slow. His attacks have long-cool off and accuracy is not his strongest point. He does get some cool alt-styles, though.
Name: Glutthorn
Group: Medieval Monsters
Starting HP: 1465
Movement: 6-Way Vertical
Story: Glutthorn is a Billow-Throated Bilobak, a troll-like species who saw a near-extinction status years ago. Glutthorn, one of their leaders, had helped make a comeback by mating profusely, urging other male Bilobak's to do the same. Glutthorn has 37 children to count. Although currently legal to hunt, Bellow-Throated Bilobaks are starting to be reccognized as a demihuman species, and may become protected. Until then, Glutthorn will show off for his children when a gloryseeker steps up to his door.
Attacks:
Earth Strike: Using the reticule, he creates a stone spire to erupt from the ground. In Pugilist mode, there is no stone spire, just a close-ranged shockwave.
Axe Head: Gluthorn swings his club then throws the axehead on his club outward in a boomerang, reaching the longest side of the screen. In Pugilist mode, he makes quick punches.
Bog Breath: He creates a cone of poison to erupt from his throat. In Windbag mode, he shoots a bigger cone of poison, but cancels out of Windbag mode.
Jump: He jumps over to the reticule, causing the ground to shake and rocks to fall. If a rock falls on Glutthorn, he grabs onto it and throws it at a second reticule. In Windbag mode, he jumps in place. Everything else is the same.
Charge: He charges toward the reticule with his club, dealing damage to whatever's in his wake. In Windbag mode, he is slower. In Pugilist mode, his AOE is lower, but if he hits, he grabs the opponent and does LOTS of damage.
Fire Gout: Glutthorn spits out for fire spires in rapid succession, each aimed with the reticule. In Windbag mode, he shoots much bigger pillars, but exits out of Windbag mode.
Windbag Mode: He takes a deep breath and puffs up. Glutthorn takes less damage in this mode, but he is slower. The properties of some of his attacks change.
Pugilist Mode: Glutthorn puts away his club and fights with his fists. His attacks are quicker with less cooloff and his steps turn into small jumps that shake the ground and pause opponents, but he takes more damage in this mode. Changes the properties of some of his attacks and can be used with Windbag mode.
Mega Hammer: He brings out a HUGE hammer that strengthens his club-based attacks, but breaks after a few uses.
