ETYMOLOGY: Nemui [ 眠い ] means “sleepy” in Japanese.

EYE COLOUR: Pale Blue iris around both pupils are a ring of pale gold.
HAIR COLOUR: Deep Silver roots that slowly ombre towards a pale blue reminiscent of the ursa minor major stars.
NOSE: She has a cute small triangular nose that is pale blue in colouration. It wriggles subconsciously when she is in thought or adjusting her glasses.
STITCHES: Nemui has two long stitches across the very tops of her shoulders to the curves of her hips, from where the Core settled into the original fluff of the teddy bear. It seems that the stitches have been healed by her Celestial powers, but the marks themselves remain.
CELESTIAL MARK: Nemui has a rhombus-shaped Celestial gem sitting squarely in her cleavage, right where her thin “X” positioned stitches meet. It gives off a static sensation when touched and is naturally warm, giving off a soothing deep blue glow that gradually lightens to cyan.
HAIR STYLE: Long and sleek hair in a style vaguely reminiscent of a hime-cut that eases down to the middle of her thighs. Her long bangs cover most of her forehead from view, the ends brushing across the tip of her nose and frequently tickling her. Her hair is exceptionally thick, the shagginess reminiscent of an ursine, yet remains fluffier, keeping a relatively silken appearance. A single thick ahoge curls from the part near her fringe, sticking up comically and sometimes betraying her mood.
BODY TYPE: Tiny, petite figure accented by broad, child-bearing hips and a natural E-cup that compliments her hourglass frame. Her narrow abdomen and dainty limbs draws more attention to her physical frailty.
WINGS: Nemui has two tiny wings on her shoulder blades that are remnants the of old pair that sat on the teddy’s back. The wings often moult glittery white feathers that are roughly three to five centimeters long normally, growing up to seven centimeters maximum each. The wings themselves are roughly eighteen centimeters long.
EAR STYLE: Her ears are rounded and extremely fluffy, visually similar to those of a black bear despite being larger. They’re cupped around the inner ear, which is filled with a gentle blue fluff that’s softer than silk. Each rim of her ear has a single tag piercing.
TAIL STYLE:Similar to a unicorn, her tail is thin and flows in a long strand before ending with a volume of fluff that flows out. Her tip is extremely sensitive and the strand is rather fragile and easy to break, so handle with care. At the very end of her tail is a pair of small bands that jingle and clink together upon movement.
GLASSES: Her glasses are the same as Wish’s, albeit golden. They're squared but retain enough of a curve to sit snuggly on her small snout, yet lacking the height to cover the tops of her eyes.

STORY
The original owner of the Core of Nemui is an Ursine survivor of the Galactic War who Fell and was believed to have passed and been reborn. In actuality, she was found by a scientist who became curious about the strange glowing stone found within a crater in the Arctic. He took it to his home in Japan to study and the Life-Infused Core latched onto the first sign of life from a Pure Soul within his household which happened to be the handprints upon the teddy bear of the scientist’s daughter. She unwittingly possessed the teddy bear and remained dormant inside of the plushies’ stuffing for the child’s lifetime, only becoming animated when she slept to act as a loyal vigil against nightmares and potential threats. Now that ‘her’ child - a girl named Aiko - has passed on and their own family has cast her away as an old, worn-down teddy, Nemui feels without purpose and now seeks a home and family to call her own, or perhaps to make her own with someone special. As Aiko was the bearer of a Pure Soul, it is speculated that Aiko may become a Celestial in her own right.
ABILITIES & POWERS
Resurrection
The ability to revive or return the dead to the living. This does come with the downside of the revived losing a part of who they were.
Lifethread
Lifethread is passed on through generations of Life-linked Celestials who follow the teachings of the Infinite Life. Using powers in her fingertips, Nemui is able to draw out the threads of life - also known as a lifeline - from both herself and others.
Life Connection
Nemui is able to sense the life in others and when a life is endangered.
Death Perception Eyes
Alongside her ability to sense life endangerment and save lives as a result, Nemui is also gifted with Death Perception Eyes that are triggered by the removal of her spectacles. This allows her to see where to strike to kill someone/thing, and where to touch to potentially save them. This is both a benefit and a curse, as with her glasses on Nemui seems more kindly and personable, but with them off she seemingly loses her emotions as she realizes the fragility of life.
Inanimate Object Physiology [Teddy Bear]
If she in endangered, Nemui is able to take on the form of her teddy bear self. There is, however, more fragility involved with this and does not guarantee her survival.
Thread Generation [Lifethread]
Anything Nemui’s Lifethreads touch in an aggressive manner - EG needle form - causes it’s life to end from contact.
Static Electricity Manipulation
Nemui can draw upon the static from her fur to summon usable electricity.
Dream Walking
Nemui is able to both see and enter dreams and daydreams of individuals and can also slay and seal away nightmares.
Comfort Inducement
Simply being around Nemui - even when she is angry - can cause others to feel soothed and comfortable, almost sleepy at times.
Sleep Inducement
Nemui is able to cause sleep to individuals through Celestial Mark contact.
