At the time, the IMI Timber Wolf was one of the very few pump action magnum rifles available. No longer made nor imported since the 1990's. This guy was a bit more complex than I wanted to deal with for the trigger group as well as the bolt. It seems the Israelis wanted to make their stuff as complicated and pinned together as possible. While it was produced by Israeli Military Industries, it was never adopted by use of their military and served mainly as a companion/hunting rifle.
This guy here is the Springfield imported and marked .44 Magnum variant. Still made by IMI. The .44s were only brought over this way. In the bottom photograph, you can see its brother, the true non import marked IMI Timber Wolf in .357 Magnum. Funny enough, it still feels like you're firing a magnum pistol as the weight seems to do nothing to compensate for the push back.
These are a bit different and off the beaten path for my collection obviously but for this instance, I wanted them for their name. It seemed appropriate.
