Beyond the desert, across the mountains of the north, there once lived a people of fur and wing. They were nomads in the past, wanderers of windswept plains, but in time they settled along the rivers of their lands and tamed the wilds, guided by the blessed night sky above. The Sibling Stars guided their wayward spirits, while the Mother Moon cast her soothing light upon her dayworn children.

Their name is lost to history, buried by conquest and time, but faint traces of their kind can still be found throughout the world. One such remnant, a thief by trade, wears another face now, but from time to time, she finds herself drawn to her origins, perhaps out of a sense of longing...
