It actually is supposed to be Arceus with a soft C. like an S. But in the english dub of the movie, it was pronounced with a hard C like a K.

My thoughts when learning this, was that the english dub makers thought to avoid sounding like they were saying "Arse".

And this is why Arceus doesn't change physical form when using Multitype, just colors. Otherwise a Poison-type Arceus would be a hybrid of Skuntank, resulting in... well, this.

because it was a stupid idea. XD also, since one of the two spellings sounds like the british word "arse" for ass. so that's the joke.
