That's about how I expected Emery to act: calm, patient, and understanding. His explanation is pretty close to what I was thinking it would be. It was kind of anticlimactic, and I am glad for it. Real life often is, and a more realistic approach takes away unnecessary drama and makes room for reality. I hope Andy learns not to jump the gun so quickly next time. So far, it all looks nice and sweet. I do hope they'll get on well. I'd like to see them become friends if nothing else. That last panel is quite sweet. I like it. They seem happy. I do hope they are a comfort to each other. That's my wish.
Emerys face looks in the last panel very grim remember how he had a back problem i would love for the dinner to happen but that face with the fact Andy literally just jumped into his arms with his full weight cant be good for the back, lets see if the comic takes a comedic path now XD
If I did it from start to finish, probably most of the day. I break up working on it into chunks because I also have the private Patreon comic to do, as well as catch up on sketch requests. Plus, I have two unrelated gigs I'm working on lately, so... yeah xD I would love to pump it out faster, but I have to be careful and not neglect the other things.
Wow. No drama, proper resolution, and an actual date out of it. That's so adorable and heartwarming! I really do like these two together.
Thing now is that Emery did originally hire Andy as a genuine employee with the proposal of a possibility for sex if Andy wanted, with Emery showcasing just occasional bits of affection, like simple ear rubs. He did allow Andy to decide if anything happened, and Andy chose, but now with this bit of momentary drama left behind and an actual dinner date coming out of it, it makes one curious as to what will happen between these two. The original thing was an offer for sex, so they'll have to sit down, think and talk about what they actually want for the long term, if anything.
Though, admittedly, why do I get the feeling that something will happen that will ruin the date? Such as Cooper showing up at Andy's unannounced and things may be said or whatever and Andy ends up missing out on the date with Emery? I dunno, just a theory.
