I've been submitting too many cetacean-based anthropomorphs lately, so here's a work-in-progress of 'Strobe the Draconeon' from my 'Never Work With Monsters' project.
The background and foreground are going to be very complex in the final version - I finished the linework and needed a break from this piece (I often get half way on a piece of artwork and hop onto something else before revisiting it at a later date), I just thought it would be a good idea to showcase some stand-alone linework for a change.
Her nipples aren't showing - those are actually metallic caps which are a part of her exoskeleton. SO DON'T PANIC!
I actually modified her design in places whilst drawing this piece. Very complex characters need a lot of focus/attention.
