Lopin don't know how humans works but working for Kass I hope he learn fast or more pain will come his way.
I just hope Ran or someone won't get Kass to become a mother ...for some reason against his/her will,
even if it be a great way for Ran to learn more about the yinglets, unless he don't already have this info.
By the way... what would happen if Kass became a mother, and what would he/she teach the kids, and who is their father?

>.> You just had to play Devil's Advocate and egg him on didn't you Ran? lol something tells me Ran's not the type of guy to have around when gossip's afoot! Something tells me he's the kind of guy to pass on chain letters. And poor Lopin! lol I still think he might be smarter than what he lets on, but so far he's gotten nothing but the short end of the stick here! People give him a nice hat, he gets growled out. He mistakenly tries to pay Kass a compliment and he gets strangled. He's nothing if not a pitiable little guy! I'm interested to see where this goes because I get the feeling things are building up for either a sudden lead or some kind of sudden emergency that will require all hands on deck! I love how there's always a feeling of progression with these uploads to this fantastic story! It's certainly building to something!! Now with the Guards on alert it's only a matter of time for this new fellow before he gets captured when he tries to come back and collect his object!
...however.... that begs a question. What was that other fellows intention to begin with? I wonder if that capsule didn't have a more important target before mistakenly getting sold to Kass. lol I'm going to have a bit of fun trying to sleuth this! Unless those other Yinglet had been chasing him for a long period of and he ducked into town to try to lose them there's only three reasons I could see taking such a sensitive artifact into a high populated area. 1. The perp was seeking to meet up with an accomplice and move the object without being noticed. 2. The Suspect was looking to expose someone or possibly many people to it in a populated area to make some kind of statement for a larger purpose and cause panic. Or 3. That Yinglet's target was the Trademaster, either for his own gains or because he was hired by an enemy possibly from another village who had something to benefit from the Trademaster disappearing. The Yinglet in question would have motivation for any of these as just knowing they're second class citizens would be enough to inspire action no matter how dopey or unintelligent they might be! You don't have to be intelligent to know when someone's talking down to you.
So that leaves me with the current going theories: There is a group of Yinglets that are unhappy with being looked down on and are looking to put themselves on the map as a power not to be trifled with, or simply to wage war against other species in an effort for Yinglet supremacy. OR someone close to the Trademaster or another power stands to gain from his removal from power, perhaps Vizlet looking to sneak in and help herself to that wealth of human information. OR Lastly, Lopin is currently lying and has invented this other Yinglet as a scapegoat to hid his activity.
NOW, my ramblings from an imagination that this wonderful series has stimulated, I think it's really neat to observe that females are viewed as something of a royal or noble in Yinglet Society, though it fits perfectly with the lack of them in their species. Also I love the chance to observe Yinglet language and grammar! I believe this is the first time I've seen a male Yinglet not refer to Kass as the So-Pretty-Lady, at least that I can recall. I think it's very cool to know that the Yinglet had a more formal adaptation for male and female in their language! It hints that at least in some way, they're a little more cultured or developed than most give them credit for! This is another Grade A upload as always my friend and I hope for many more in the future as your schedule allows. Take heart in a job well done!

There is also the possibility that there is more of this stuff being horded some place and a not a single person is a target but an entire city. How far would yinglets progress if they acquired vast wealth, knowledge and very sharp minds from other races become yinglets. Thus breeding a entirely advanced version of their species in jumping ahead of their own natural evolution. It would beg to question if such a event took place before a long time ago to bring the species to its current evolution.
If whatever that compound agent was could be synthesized or mass produced, it would certainly be an incredible surge in the Yinglet population AND their species intelligence as a whole as we can see Kass has retained all of her mental faculties and personality. I had assumed based of the object that it was ancient and recovered from somewhere rather than made. If that's the case the origins of the Yinglet species would need to be called into question. But to your point, if it's being produced then I think that would almost assuredly mean that there was a group involved in this plot simply for the logistics of making it, distributing it, gathering supplies, and maintaining their stockpile. Also I agree with your end point! I'd wondered if the Yinglet weren't an engineered species entirely and this world experienced some kind of collapse, or if the humans and Yinglets hadn't been fighting long in the past and this was some kind of wonder weapon that never got deployed when they were blown back to the stone age.
Unless....
I just had a thought. In every instance we've seen this item used in this comic and some of the spin offs the effects are always the conversion male to female. What if this isn't meant to be used as a weapon at all? What if by design this is meant to convert XY Chromosomes back to XX Chromosomes and produce additional females? The Yinglet species has a predominantly male population and the females are in short supply. To continue their species they NEED females, so what if somehow, either through a lost more advanced Yinglet Society something akin to a Yinglety Atlantis or Yinglets stealing knowledge from all across the land, they invented something MEANT to convert other Yinglet into females after discovering that perhaps their species was unsustainable with their current male to female ratio? The transformative effect on the human body MAY be accidental or unintended!! Human genetics are rather adaptive and susceptible to alteration, so the fact Kass was changed might not mean that anyone in contact with this stuff could be changed. All it would take is a Yinglet discovering a cache of this stuff and seeing it in action to start wanting to move it or use it in ways it wasn't originally intended for!!

I'm pretty sure being a female Yinglet is Lopin's dream hence the other reason of his misunderstanding besides the greatest one which is the cultural difference.
Ran's disappointment is matched with mine though about not a good lead. That yinglet could become the next Sephiroth as in having all the heroes search for him throughout the entire world based on these vague descriptions of him.

At first I was thinking Lopin was smart being able to put two and two together, that Kass magically transformed into a yinglet. But now I'm thinking Lopin is a yinglet. He was probably just dumb enough to overlook the prospect of exactly how Kass became what he is now.
I wonder… Was Ran writing down Lopin's description in words, or did he become the world's first police sketch artist?
